Sanforization – Fabric Shrinkage Control
Sanforization is a process used to prevent fabric or fiber shrinkage. It involves the use of a shrinkage rubber belt and a heated cylinder to compress the fabric, ensuring it retains its shape and does not shrink after washing.
This shrinkage control process is considered a critical final step in textile production. Today, approximately 80% of the textile industry incorporates Sanforization, especially in the denim fabric sector, where dimensional stability is crucial.
In addition, Sanforization plays an important role in preserving the surface texture and structure of knitted or stretch fabrics, ensuring both appearance and performance are maintained throughout the fabric’s lifecycle.
